New West Boulevard Elementary principal named
Columbia Public Schools named its new West Boulevard Elementary School principal Friday.
Melissa Galloway will start in the position July 1, taking over for Susan Deakins, who has been named the district’s executive director for K-12 education, district spokeswoman Michelle Baumstark said in a news release.
Galloway has 22 year experience at schools in Arkansas, Louisiana and Oklahoma, Baumstark said. She was a principal for 11 of those years, Baumstark said.
