Drying out, warming up for the weekend

TONIGHT: Clouds stick around the area tonight as temperatures dip into the low 50s. Spot showers can’t be ruled out, but most areas will stay dry overnight.

SATURDAY: Clouds gradually decrease with a few lingering spot showers southeast. Expect late day sunshine and highs warming to near 70.

EXTENDED: A beautiful weekend is in store with sunshine and warmer temperatures by Sunday. Enjoy it, because an active pattern sets back up for next week. Southwesterly upper level flow will bring unsettled weather back to Mid-Missouri in the form of rain and storms almost each day. 1-2″ of rainfall is expected by the end of next week. Be sure to check back on-air or online for the latest on the forecast as storms develop.
