The crash happened after one vehicle hydroplaned on the roadway and spun out, said Boone County Fire Protection District Assistant Chief Gale Blomenkamp. Crews responded to the scene before 8 a.m., and the scene was cleared by 8:45 a.m.

Three people were in the vehicle at the time of the crash, and one person was complaining of back pain, Blomenkamp said.

The Missouri Department of Transportation plans emergency repairs to the eastbound lanes of the bridge starting on Saturday at 7 p.m. The repairs are expected to last through Wednesday.
