Multiple roads remain closed due to flooding

Multiple roads remained closed across mid-Missouri on Thursday as water levels continued to rise in low lying areas. The roads in Boone County that are listed as closed from their website are listed below: East Hartsburg Bottom Road in between E Grimes and S Bush Landing Easley River Road near Coopers Landing West Gillespie Road at Perche Creek Blackfoot Road near Perche Creek and Rocky Fork Creek Old Hwy 63 – bridge over Silver Fork Creek – north of the intersection of Old Hwy 63 & Lipscomb Rd Burnett School Road

The Roads closed in Cole county as of 11a.m. are listed below:

The 8700 block of Payne Road The 11100 of North Branch Road The 5500 block of Loesch Road The 5900 block of Bainer Road The 3100 block of Zion Road The 6100 block of Buffalo Road The 1400 block of Waterford Road The 1300 block of Murphys Ford Road The 2800 block of Meadowsford Road Columbia Public Schools said it is running alternate routes in the flooded areas near Perche Creek. CPS has notified parents about the changes in pick-up/drop-off locations, and timing of the buses arrival.

The Missouri Department of Transportation reminded drivers to not drive through blocked off road signs. Instead, MoDOT said drivers should turn around when they come upon a barrier.
