Miller County crash kills one
An Eldon man was pronounced dead at the scene of a single-vehicle crash Wednesday morning in Miller County.
Virgil Holder, 77, crashed his Ford F-150 while driving northbound at about 6:40 a.m. on Route Y near Eldon, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said in an online crash report.
Holder’s truck crossed the centerline, went off the left side of the road and hit a tree. He was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol reported. No one else was in the truck.
Holder’s was the 14th highway death this year in the patrol’s Troop F region.
