US House Jan. 6 committee to hold hearing Thursday afternoon

WASHINGTON (KMIZ)

Watch live:

The US House of Representatives Jan. 6 committee is scheduled to reconvene for another hearing Thursday.

Committee members plan to start what could be the last hearing before the November midterm election at 12 p.m. (CT). The panel is expected to share evidence from former President Donald Trump's Secret Service about the events leading up to and surrounding the protests at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

No live witnesses are scheduled to testify Thursday, unlike previous hearings.

This is the 10th hearing by the House Jan. 6 committee. A final report about the committee's findings is expected to be released once the hearings wrap up.

PROGRAMMING NOTE: ABC 17 News plans to carry the committee hearing live instead of airing our regularly scheduled noon newscast.
