US imposes sanctions on 12 Iranian officials for human rights abuses

By Jennifer Hansler, CNN (CNN) — The United States on Wednesday imposed sanctions on 12 Iranian officials for human rights abuses, including violent crackdowns on protesters, torture of prisoners and targeting Iranian dissidents abroad.
