Howard and Cooper counties not eligible for individual assistance after flooding

Help from the Federal Emergency Management Agency is available for households or individuals in 26 Missouri counties after flooding and tornadoes. Homeowners in those counties can apply to receive assistance rebuilding or replacing their property if they were impacted by severe weather. Howard and Cooper counties were not included on the list of eligible counties.

Callaway County Sheriff’s Office arrests man in St Charles County

Callaway County Sheriff’s Office investigators took one man into custody Sept. 6 in St. Charles County. According to a press release, on Aug. 27, the Callaway County prosecuting attorney charged Michael Jones, 32, of Williamsburg, with armed criminal action, second-degree domestic assault and third-degree domestic assault. Missouri Task Force 1 returns from helping in areas hit by Hurricane Dorian

Missouri Task Force 1 is back in Boone County after helping in areas hit by Hurricane Dorian. The Boone County Fire Department’s task force returned to Columbia shortly before noon Sunday.
