The Columbia Police Department announced the passing of retired K-9 Officer, Leah, on Sunday. Leah was 12-years-old and passed away from from natural causes. Leah served with CPD for nine years. Leah started her career with CPD in December 2006, working alongside her handler, Detective Ron Hall in the Vice Narcotics and Organized Crime Unit.
