Mild Weekend

After a stormy week the weekend got off to a pleasant start on Friday. Dry and clear conditions will continue into Saturday with highs reaching the upper 60s to near 70. Clouds will start to increase Saturday evening though bringing back partly cloudy skies. By late Saturday night there is a slight chance of showers.

Moberly company expands to add more jobs

A Randolph County company’s expansion will create new jobs in Moberly. ASIFlex plans to expand benefit administration service operations to the city. Moberly’s economic development corporation made the announcement Friday, saying hiring will start immediately. ASIFlex is looking to hire ten full time equivalent employees. ASIFlex currently employs 80 people in Columbia.

Highway 50 shutting down again Monday

Placing girders for a new overpass will require full intermittent closures of Highway 50/63 near the Chestnut Street bridge Mondaynight in Jefferson City. Each closure should last about 15 minutes. Law enforcement officers will be on site to provide advance warning for drivers. In addition, traffic will be reduced to one lane on Highway 50/63
