Woman dies after drowning in spring at Ha Ha Tonka

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A Kansas City, Kansas, woman who was pulled from a spring at a Lake of the Ozarks-area state park died Monday.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol says Yolanda Munoz-Garcia, 19, was pronounced dead at about 6 p.m. Monday at St. Luke's Medical Center.

Munoz-Garcia was swimming Saturday in the spring at Ha Ha Tonka State Park in Camden County when she went under the water in the current and didn't come back up, the patrol reported. A bystander pulled her from the water and she was hospitalized.
