School bus catches fire in Howard County

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMKZ)

Westran Fire Protection District is reporting a school bus caught fire Friday.

According to a social media post, firefighters responded with mutual aid from Armstrong Fire Protection District on county road 2425 for a report of a school bus on fire inside a building.

Upon arrival, crews found heavy fire in the motor compartment of the bus.

No damage was done to the building but the bus was a total loss.

The Westran fire chief reports the school bus was used to haul livestock.
