One person injured after a house explosion in Moniteau County

JAMESTOWN, Mo. (KMIZ)

A woman was critically injured Wednesday evening after a house explosion near Jamestown.

The Jamestown Rural Fire Protection District responded to a report of an explosion around 6 p.m.

According to Moniteau County Sheriff Tony Wheatley, a woman was airlifted after the home explosion.

The State Fire Marshal's office is investigating the cause of the explosion.

The house is considered a total loss.
