Rolla man drowns in Phelps County

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

A 25-year-old man from Rolla, Missouri drowned in Little Prairie Lake on Saturday.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Sumit Garg became submerged in the water and did not resurface.

Troopers say it is not clear how he entered the water.

He was found 15 feet from the bank.

This was Troop I's first drowning of 2021.
