Teen arrested in connection to shots fired on Raleigh Drive
COLUMBIA Mo. (KMIZ)
The Columbia Police Department arrested 18-year-old E'Kayleon Spain-Prince on multiple charges Saturday morning.
Officers responded at 6 a.m. on Saturday to the 1500 block of Raleigh Drive for a shots fired call.
CPD found several shell casings in the area.
Official reports say probable cause was established during the investigation to request and serve a search warrant at a residence in the 1500 block of Raleigh Drive.
Officers then arrested Spain-Prince. He was booked into the Boone County Jail and charged with stealing, gun-related charges and endangering the welfare of a child.
No injuries were reported and officers did not locate any property damage.
One man who lives near the scene of the incident said this is something out of the ordinary for the area.
"I hadn't heard anything since moving here so that's not something I would expect," said Cooper Dennett, who lives in north Columbia.
Officers found broken glass on the street but did not find a car with any broken windows in the area.
"It definitely makes me keep an eye out a little bit more," Dennett said. "It's definitely interesting and a little worrisome a little bit for sure."
Officers are continuing to investigate and ask anyone with information on this incident to contact the Columbia Police Department or Crimestoppers.
