Drivers asked to avoid Interstate 70 in Montgomery County

The Missouri State Highway Patrol is urging drivers to avoid Interstate 70 in Montgomery County because of multiple crashes at the 170-mile marker.

The patrol earlier reported that a multi-vehicle crash at that location had closed both eastbound lanes. Kyle Green said the crashes referenced were in addition to crashes reported earlier in the day.
