Mid-Missouri still dealing with snow-packed roads
COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)
Residents across Mid-Missouri are still dealing with snow-packed roads on Wednesday morning.

Driving conditions are expected to worsen with another shot of snow moving in Wednesday. The ABC 17 Stormtrack Team forecasted snow showers starting in time for the morning commute.
Around Columbia, major roadways still had a layer of snow. Near the Lake of the Ozarks, roads looked similar to ones in Columbia. The lake area will see snow first Wednesday with the storm moving in from the south.
Snow started coming down in Osage Beach around 6:20 a.m. Boone County Joint Communications tweeted at 8:01 a.m. that snow was starting to accumulate on roads.

Plow crews have had to use a mixture of road treatments during the sub-freezing temperatures this week. Area public works officials say refreeze from Tuesday is a concern.

MoDOT tweeted that drivers should limit travel as the snow moves in. The MoDOT Traveler Information Map said most roadways around the area were mostly clear or had a partial covering of snow and ice.
Dozens of schools have called off classes or are on late starts Wednesday. Lincoln University closed its campus for the day and State Technical College issued a delayed start for 10:10 a.m.
