Tracking strong storms through late tonight

TONIGHT: Scattered strong storms early, with a line of damaging winds and heavy rain expected late into the overnight hours. Rainfall could amount to 2-3". Lows remain in the lower 60s.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy with a few spot showers or storms. Highs in the upper 70s.

EXTENDED: The wavering cold front will retreat back north on Saturday into warm air, triggering scattered showers and thunderstorms throughout the day. Rain chances diminish early on Sunday as the front finally slides south, taking some of the humidity with it. We're looking at a slightly cooler end to the weekend with temperatures closer to our seasonal normals in the low 70s during the day and 50s at night. Next week looks much quieter with dry weather expected for several days, along with slightly above normal temperatures.
