Tracking one last day of cooler weather

TODAY: We'll be seeing a little more sunshine today than we saw yesterday, but we are still tracking a small chance for showers and storms in the afternoon. Humidity will remain on the lower side for the day, leaving heat index values in the low 90s.

TONIGHT: Conditions remain calm as temperatures drop into the low 70s.

EXTENDED: High pressure continues to control our weather into the next week with a few ripples of energy moving through the area, giving us an afternoon chance of storms each day. The biggest story throughout this week will be the increasing humidity. Starting Monday, heat index values will begin increasing as the humidity rises. As early as Tuesday afternoon, we could see heat index values near 100 degrees.
