Tracking potential severe storms tonight into early Saturday
TONIGHT: Isolated to scattered strong to severe storms possible. Hail, locally damaging winds, and a tornado or two can't be ruled out. Lows fall into the low 60s.
SATURDAY: Chance of a few storms early, becoming partly sunny with gusty winds during the day. Highs hitting the mid-upper 70s early then falling through the night.
EXTENDED: This powerful system will continue to drag a cold front across the area on Saturday, allowing wind gusts to pick up to about 40 mph. Sunday is about 10-15 degrees cooler with highs in the low 60s. Sunday is breezy with gusts getting into the 30 mph range, but it's dry. Monday is the warmest day of next week as we climb into the mid-60s. Tuesday brings another chance for rain, but the severe weather risk looks low for now. Next week is cooler with temps near average in the upper 50s and lower 60s. We could see another shot at rain late in the week, potentially by Friday.
