Tracking storms with heavy rain and isolated hail Tuesday morning

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and chilly with lows in the low to mid-40s.

TUESDAY: Showers and thunderstorms likely, with a few strong storms with heavy rain and isolated large hail south of Highway 50. Highs in the low 50s.

EXTENDED: Showers and storms move out by early evening on Tuesday, leaving us drier going into Wednesday. We're in for a nice day as temperatures climb into the mid-upper 60s. A cold front slowly makes its way across the state on Thursday, bringing a chance for a few spot showers or storms. Storm chances increase on Friday as this front stalls out across Mid-Missouri. Temperatures will get close to 70 degrees, and ingredients are starting to come together and point toward the possibility of a few strong storms on Friday afternoon. Over the weekend, showers and storms could continue into Saturday, but temperatures will be near our seasonal average, in the upper 50s to near 60. Rain amounts by the end of the week will range between 1-2 inches.
