Tracking cold wind chills for Thursday

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy, getting windy. Lows in the low 20s, wind chills falling to near 10 degrees.

THURSDAY: Clouds gradually decrease, but it stays windy, keeping highs in the low 30s. Wind chills remain in the teens to around 20 during the day.

EXTENDED: Thursday night is quite cold as winds begin to diminish under clear skies. Lows fall into the teens to start Friday morning, with sunshine during the day. Temperatures rebound back into the low 40s as winds shift to the southwest. Over the weekend, another storm system moves in from the southwest, increasing chances for rain by early Sunday. Rain continues through all of Sunday into Sunday night, giving us anywhere from 0.5" to 1" of precipitation. It all comes to an end early Monday, and there could be a few snow showers north of I-70 as precipitation moves out depending on the temperatures. No accumulation is expected at this time. Next week, the pattern looks to stay fairly active and get colder than normal again by the middle of the week.
