Cloudy and cooler for Friday, mild weekend ahead

TONIGHT: Patchy fog developing, increasing clouds. Lows in the upper 20s.

FRIDAY: Areas of fog early, becoming mostly cloudy. A few showers possible south of I-70. Highs in the low 40s.

EXTENDED: The disturbance that brought clouds Friday moves out, leaving us with a wind shift back to the south and warmer temperatures to start the weekend. By Sunday, we're back into the 50s under the influence of high pressure. Quiet weather continues through Christmas, with highs in the low to mid-50s. Rain returns to the forecast by late in the day on Christmas, with a cool down back into the 40s by Thursday.
