Temperatures dip Friday before rebound this weekend

THIS AFTERNOON: Clouds will hang on across the area today. Temperatures will remain mild, in the mid to upper 50s.

TONIGHT: Rain chances move in after sunset, and still look to mainly affect our southern counties. Activity still looks to be light in nature with the heaviest amounts around 0.10”. When the rain moves in you can see if you'll be falling asleep to the sound of rain at our Interactive Radar.

EXTENDED: Rain should be on it's way out by the morning commute, leaving us with some breezy conditions on the backside of this system. Wind gusts up to 25 mph will help move in cooler air, keeping afternoon highs in the low to mid 40s. But we'll shake the chilly weather moving into the weekend, with the 50s returning both Saturday and Sunday. We're tracking another shot of cold air set to move into Mid-Missouri next week. This colder air will be accompanied by some slight rain chances with a chance to change over to some flurries as it wraps up, with the coldest of the air settling in toward Tuesday and Wednesday with overnight lows in the teens.
