Showers for some overnight, colder Friday

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with a few showers south of I-70. Lows in the mid-upper 30s.

FRIDAY: Clouds clear gradually, chilly and breezy with highs in the low 40s.

EXTENDED: North winds will make Friday about 10-15 degrees cooler, but we're dry heading into the weekend. Winds shift back southwest over the weekend, bringing temperatures back up into the 50s for Saturday and Sunday. Another cold front arrives on Monday, increasing rain chances by late in the day. At the same time, colder air from Canada will spill south and settle into the region. As cold air moves in, there's a chance lingering showers could change over to snow showers late Monday night. Next week stays colder than average with highs in the 30s and lows in the teens and 20s.
