Snowy start to Halloween, bitterly cold for Trick or Treating

TONIGHT: Wintry mix changes over to snow this evening, with light snow showers continuing overnight. Lows in the upper 20s. Accumulation between a dusting and 1".

THURSDAY: Snow showers taper off by mid morning, leaving us quite cold and blustery with temperatures in the mid-30s during the day, and wind chills in the low 20s.

EXTENDED: Our weather pattern stays quiet beyond Thursday, with a chilly start to Friday. We start out in the low 20s, with wind chills on Friday morning in the teens. Saturday remains chilly, but we finally warm back into the 50s under sunshine on Sunday. We remain under northwest upper flow, but any disturbances look to stay to our north. Temperatures remain below average next week.
