Summer looking to pack up for the year, Fall-like temperatures still on tap

THIS AFTERNOON: It’s another day of heat and humidity across the area. Expect upper 80s and lower 90s with feels like temperatures in the low to mid 90s .

TONIGHT: Partly cloudy with overnight lows falling back into the low-to-mid 70s .

EXTENDED: We’re continuing to track a cold front that is effectively going to put an end to Summer. Showers and thunderstorms look to move in toward the afternoon on Wednesday and could spill over into Thursday. The severe threat looks limited at this point, still. Probably the biggest impact will be the cooler temperatures, with afternoon highs only reaching the upper 60s Thursday and Friday, before another shot of rain moves in toward Saturday.
