Tracking warmer, more humid air before rain chances return at the end of the week
TONIGHT: Mostly clear and cool with light winds and lows in the upper 50s to around 60.
TOMORROW: Partly to mostly sunny with highs in the upper 80s. Heat index in the low 90s.
EXTENDED: Temperatures cool off tonight as light winds and clear skies prevail, allowing lows to fall into the upper 50s to around 60. Tomorrow is warmer as highs jump in to the upper 80s thanks to a south breeze. Moisture streams in as the upper pattern is more southwesterly on the edge of an upper ridge, sending dew points into the mid-upper 60s. We'll see a chance of pop-up showers and storms on Thursday with lots of dry time in between as a low pressure system spins in our direction between Thursday and Friday. The best chance of rain looks to be Friday into Friday night with the low moving overhead, keeping us cooler in the low 80s with the best chance of more than a quarter-inch of rain along and south of I-70. Saturday and Sunday will be hot and humid with highs in the upper 80s and a chance for a few afternoon storms with sunshine in between. Next week starts off warm, with more active weather expected by the end of the week.
