Tracking a dry and cool weekend

Today: Temperatures remain into the lower '40s Thursday with lingering showers finally clearing out by the late afternoon hours.

Tonight: The overnight low falls to near freezing with partly cloudy skies as winds remain out of the west at 4-8 mph.

Extended: Friday a warm-up ensues thanks to a wind change from the southwest for the morning hours and increased sunshine. This increase in temperatures is soon faded out thanks to an overnight cold frontal passage leading to temperatures topping out into the lower '50s this weekend. A temperature hike is in store starting next Monday before chances of showers and storms increase by mid-week.
