Tracking above average heat through the weekend

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and warm with lows in the upper 60s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny, hazy, and breezy with highs in the low to mid-90s.

EXTENDED: Temperatures tonight will be about 10 degrees warmer than this morning, falling into the upper 60s. Tomorrow will be hot and breezy and we'll still have that smoky haze lingering as high pressure builds overhead. Highs reach the mid-90s both tomorrow and Sunday, and high pressure looks to hang on with a front staying north of us on Monday. By Tuesday afternoon, we could see scattered showers and storms developing ahead of this front as it slowly works south. Showers and storms continue overnight into early Wednesday, clearing out during the day and cooling temperatures to near average on Wednesday and Thursday. High pressure begins to build back in by late in the week/next weekend, showing signals we could be in for more above average heat.
