Tracking colder air coming into mid-Missouri

TONIGHT: We hang on to partly cloudy skies overnight with lows falling back into the middle 20’s after a cold front crept through during the day.

TOMORROW: That front will cool things down on Friday. Highs will reach the middle 30’s to close out the week, but we’ll keep some sunshine around.

EXTENDED: It’ll be cloudy on Saturday and cool with highs in the 30’s. Our next system starts to influence the area Saturday night into Sunday morning. A wintry mix will be possible as moisture returns from the south. That will transition quickly to rain Sunday morning as temperatures warm up. Spotty showers will be possible throughout the rest of the day Sunday and pick up in coverage Sunday night. Rain will stick with us through Monday before the system pushes east. As it does, some cooler air on the backside will change what’s left to some snow Monday night. At this point, it doesn’t look like either end of this system is something to worry about, but we could see some slight accumulations.
