Tracking sunshine and mild temperatures Saturday

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and chilly. Lows falling into the mid-upper 20s.

SATURDAY: Mostly sunny and breezy with highs in the low to mid-50s. Clouds increase by sunset.

EXTENDED: Our next low pressure system tracking across the Rockies will increase moisture across the region in the form of cloud cover late on Saturday, and eventually bring steady rainfall to Mid-Missouri on Sunday afternoon. Showers continue through Monday before things briefly dry out. Rain amounts will be around 1" for most locations. We'll get into another active pattern next week with chances for precipitation on Tuesday and Wednesday. Precipitation type will depend on the temperature, but the most likely scenario would start as rain and then change to snow going into Wednesday as temperatures dip below freezing, but little accumulation is expected at this time. Temperatures fall into the teens and low 20s at night and low 30s during the day for much of next week.
