Tracking light snow around the Friday afternoon commute

TONIGHT: Partly to mostly cloudy with lows falling into the mid-upper teens.

FRIDAY: Increasing clouds, still chilly. Light snow showers possible by mid-late afternoon, wrapping up before 6-7PM. Highs in the mid-30s.

EXTENDED: Clouds finally clear out on Saturday, but despite the sunshine we're still unseasonably cold with highs in the upper 30s thanks to continued snow cover. Clouds increase ahead of our next front on Sunday, and rain returns by afternoon with highs getting into the mid-40s. We're cooler behind the front on Monday, but rebound back into the low to mid-40s on Tuesday and Wednesday. Zonal (west to east) flow will keep temperatures near average through mid-week, but another potent storm system increases our rain chances on both of these days. Precipitation may briefly change to snow depending on the timing, especially if it spills over to Wednesday night as temperatures drop to near 32 degrees overnight.
