Tracking a sunny and warm start to the week

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and cool with lows in the low 40s.

TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and pleasant with highs in the low 70s.

EXTENDED: After a gorgeous Sunday, we can expect a comfortable start to the week with temperatures warming gradually each day as high pressure builds in, shifting winds to the south. We'll warm to near 80 by mid-late week ahead of low pressure that could bring active weather to the region between Thursday and Friday. A strong cold front moves through Mid-Missouri Thursday night into Friday, bringing the potential for rain and storms. The Storm Prediction has a level 2/5 risk for severe storms in place for Thursday/Thursday night across western Missouri. We can expect another 1-1.5" rain over that time frame, with more showers possible Saturday night or Sunday.
