Tracking rain chances through the weekend and stronger storms next week

TODAY: I'm tracking clouds and lingering showers leading to temperatures generally falling through the day, getting into the 50s late this afternoon. Light northerly winds will also aid in dropping temperatures throughout the day.

TONIGHT: I'm tracking dry weather with some clouds sticking around tonight, leading to temperatures only dropping into the low 50s by the end of the night.

EXTENDED: I'm tracking warm front lifts back through the region Saturday morning, serving as another focus for rain in the morning, before leaving us drier and warmer in the afternoon. Highs are back to the 70s Saturday and Sunday. Some showers are likely again on Sunday. Monday and Tuesday are ABC17 Stormtrack Weather Alert Days, with severe storms possible. For the latest, read our online Weather Alert Day Blog. Continued rain and storm chances are forecast for Wednesday, before dry time on Thursday.
