Tracking a very warm Tuesday ahead of first of several rounds of rain

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and mild with lows in the mid-60s.

TOMORROW: Increasing clouds with highs in the lower 80s. Gusty winds up to 30 mph ahead of evening storms.

EXTENDED: Tonight we could flirt with near record warm low temperatures as we remain in the mid-60s. Fire weather concerns continue into tomorrow as warm weather returns and relative humidity remains low. A stalled front to our north will begin to trek south and set off our parade of storm chances for the rest of the week tomorrow night. Waves of rain and storms will be consistent between Tuesday night and Thursday, with a lull between late Thursday afternoon and Friday evening. The best chances for impactful rainfall will lie along and north of the stalled front, generally across the northern half of the state. Flash flooding concerns remain low, but there could be rises on rivers by the end of the week, leading to minor flooding on smaller rivers. We'll warm to the upper 70s again Friday ahead of a cold front that could bring more rain and storms between Friday night and Saturday afternoon. This window looks like our "best" shot at any severe weather potential as of now, but it doesn't appear to be a high end event at this point. Total rain amounts will range from 1-4", with the higher end of that range impacting areas north of the I-70 corridor. Easter is looking dry but cooler, with highs in the upper 50s.
