Tracking showers and storms tonight, big cool down Friday

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and breezy with scattered showers and a few storms. A few storms may produce heavy downpours and small hail. Lows in the lower to mid-40s.

TOMORROW: Decreasing clouds and chilly with highs in the mid-50s.

EXTENDED: Showers and a few storms develop behind the front tonight, and cooler air sets in by tomorrow morning. The severe threat is very low tonight, with small hail being the main threat if we see any get to that strength. About 0.25" to 0.5" will be possible through early Friday morning. Friday is much cooler with highs in the 50s, but the weekend is looking pleasant after a frosty start Saturday morning. We'll get back into the 70s on Sunday, but next week is looking warm and more active. We'll start the week in the 80s on Monday and Tuesday, with a slow moving front triggering a chance for storms to our north on Monday and Tuesday, and eventually across our area Wednesday through Friday, giving us about 2" of rain to close out the week. There will be storm chances in that time frame, but the severe potential is yet to be seen. Easter weekend is looking drier on Saturday with rain exiting early if not by Friday night, and Sunday looks great with highs in the 60s.
