Tracking bitter morning temperatures, few rain or snow showers

TONIGHT: Mostly clear and cold with lows in the low to mid-teens.

TOMORROW: Partly cloudy with a few late day showers or flurries. Highs in the lower to mid-40s.

EXTENDED: A fast moving clipper system moves in from the northwest on Tuesday, bringing the potential for more moisture in the form of cloudiness and perhaps a few showers or snow showers. Dry air will limit potential for any impacts, but nonetheless it will continue to be cooler than average. We begin a massive warm up on Wednesday as temperatures begin to rise back into the upper 60s as a large dome of high pressure builds out to our west. This could bring record breaking temperatures to the western U.S. at the end of the week, and push temperatures into the upper 70s to near 80 by the end of the week. The weekend is looking nice with highs reaching the 70s on Saturday and cooling a touch with a cold front by Sunday.
