Tracking an active and warm pattern through the week
TODAY: Wednesday will have some dry time between rain chances this morning and again tonight. Best chances for widespread rain come late this morning through the afternoon as scattered thunderstorms spread across the southern half of the region. An isolated strong to severe storm is possible between noon and 6 p.m. near I-44.
TONIGHT: Rain slowly exits east overnight, leaving most dry by morning. Temperatures remain near 50 at sunrise.
EXTENDED: Thursday is dry, but mostly cloudy. Highs on Thursday will be warm, in the upper 60s. Friday is notably warmer thanks to a warm front lifting across the region. Some morning thunderstorms are likely with this front passing, but drier conditions are likely for most of the day. Highs reach into the upper-70s ahead of an evening cold front that brings a chance for strong storms. The weekend looks drier, with warm temperatures as highs are forecast in the 60s.
