Tracking a cool down and stronger winds on Tuesday
TONIGHT: Mostly clear and not as cold ahead of a cold front with lows in the lower to mid-40s.
TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and breezy with highs in the mid-upper 50s.
EXTENDED: I'm tracking a cold front that will move through the area early on Tuesday, allowing winds to shift early in the day and temperatures to remain about 10 degrees cooler than Monday. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph during the day from the north, so it will feel noticeably cooler. We'll have plenty of sunshine through Wednesday with highs in the lower 50s. Another weak low pressure system slides by to our north by Thursday, bringing clouds and a chance for showers by afternoon into early evening. Friday will be mostly cloudy in the wake of this system ahead of a stronger low that will work into the Ohio Valley by the start of the weekend. This will be our best shot at widespread measurable rain, but there's still some uncertainty in the track. If it moves a bit farther north into southern Missouri, we could see anywhere from 0.5" to 1.5" of rain through late Saturday or early Sunday. Temperatures over the weekend will be in the upper 40s to low 50s before becoming more mild by this time next week.
