Tracking a big warm up to end the week
TONIGHT: Increasing clouds, chilly, with lows in the lower 20s.
TOMORROW: Decreasing clouds and much warmer with highs in the mid-upper 40s.
EXTENDED: I'm tracking a disturbance that will bring clouds to the region tonight into early Thursday, but a warm front moving through will help winds shift back southwest early Thursday, allowing skies to clear out and highs to reach the mid-upper 40s tomorrow. Friday gets even warmer with sunshine through the day, topping in the lower 50s before a dry cold front shifts winds back to the north. This will bring a cool down for the start of the weekend as highs only reach the lower 40s on Saturday, but we can plan on a gorgeous Sunday as high pressure builds and temperatures rise into the low to mid-50s. A high pressure ridge sends the jet stream to our north early next week, allowing temperatures to get into the upper 50s to around 60 on Monday and Tuesday. Low pressure slides by to our south on Tuesday, bringing a chance of showers, but mild temperatures look to hold on through Wednesday before a cold front brings a cool down closer to our seasonal average in the low 40s by the end of next week.Â
