Tracking snow showers Friday with a frigid weekend ahead
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and breezy with a few flurries possible. Lows in the upper 20s.
TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy and windy with highs in the upper 30s to around 40. Snow showers possible by late afternoon, with a dusting to 0.5" possible. Visibility could be low at times.
EXTENDED: A weak front moves through tonight, increasing cloud cover and bringing a chance for flurries, especially to our east. Friday starts off chilly and breezy as winds could gust to 30 mph, keeping wind chills in the 20s. Another cold front moves through the area during the day, bringing snow showers adding up to a dusting to 0.5", briefly lowering visibility. Road impacts aren't expected to be much of an issue, but it will be much colder in the wake of the front by Saturday morning. Morning temperatures will be in the teens with wind chills in the upper single digits all day. Sunday morning will be even colder with lows in the upper single digits and wind chills falling a few degrees below zero. We'll bounce back to near 30 on Sunday afternoon as winds shift and sunshine returns ahead of another cold front. Monday starts off cold with morning lows in the teens following the cold front, and highs only reaching the mid-20s. Tuesday morning will be bitter with lows around 10, but we'll see highs getting back into the upper 30s. Our next chance of precipitation doesn't arrive until late next week.
