Tracking a big cool down with cold wind chills on Wednesday
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with light showers through midnight. Lows in the lower 30s.
TOMORROW: Partly to mostly cloudy with highs in the upper 30s. Gusty winds from the northwest dropping wind chills to the 20s during the day.
EXTENDED: Light rain is already starting to move in to our north, but it's having to overcome dry air as dew points are in the lower 30s. Light showers are possible from about sunset through midnight, moving from north to south. Rain amounts are expected to be under 0.1". Temperatures will struggle to warm much tomorrow after falling to the low to mid-30s overnight as strong northwest winds pick up. We'll see wind chills in the 20s during the day, and as skies clear out the wind chills could drop to around 8-10 degrees on Thursday morning. We'll see more sunshine on Thursday, but it's chilly with highs only in the lower to mid-30s. We'll briefly warm a few more degrees on Friday as winds shift temporarily. Another front moves through between Friday and Saturday, bringing a few flurries and even cooler air as temperatures start in the upper teens with highs in the upper 20s. Sunday morning will be bitter with lows near 10 degrees and highs in the mid-upper 20s. We warm gradually next week, but the overall pattern looks cold with highs just under our seasonal average to start the week under upper northwest flow. Measurable precipitation chances look low over the next 7 days.Â
