Tracking near record warm days and nights this week
TONIGHT: Increasing clouds, mild with lows in the mid-40s.
TOMORROW: Partly to mostly cloudy with highs in the 50s north of I-70, 60s south.
EXTENDED: Cloud cover sticks around for parts of the area on Tuesday as a front stalls out across the area. This will make the temperature forecast tricky as those north of the front will be cooler, while folks to the south will get well into the 60s. The front lifts to the north on Wednesday, bringing more cloud cover but also mild temperatures. I've nudged the forecast down just slightly, but still within a couple degrees of record highs. Thursday looks a touch warmer with highs in the lower 70s. Low temperatures will be in the 50s on Wednesday and Thursday nights, getting close to record warm lows. The warm pattern will stick around through the first part of the weekend as the upper high pressure system holds on, but finally breaks on Sunday as an upper wave helps shift winds back to the northwest. Sunday will be much chillier with highs in the lower 40s and lows back in the low 20s to start the last week of 2025. Rain chances are looking low, with potential showers mainly staying to our south on Sunday.Â
