Tracking rain through late tonight, fog developing
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers through late tonight. Lows in the upper 40s.
TOMORROW: Fog with cloudy skies through late afternoon. Breezy with highs in the mid-upper 50s.
EXTENDED: Clouds have limited temperatures to the lower to mid-50s today, and we don't cool much tonight with a southeasterly breeze and showers through late this evening. Rain totals will end up in the 0.25" to 0.5" range through late tonight, with fog developing tonight into tomorrow. We'll hold onto cloud cover through Tuesday afternoon with highs briefly getting into the upper 50s before another cold front moves in from the northwest, bringing a few showers and ushering in the coldest air of the week. Wednesday will be breezy but sunny with highs in the lower 40s, but winds look to ease by Wednesday night. Thanksgiving will be bright and chilly with highs in the lower 40s. We'll continue the dry streak on Friday, but low pressure moving out of the southwest will bring precipitation to the area starting Friday night. With cold air to our north, there's a chance it could start off as snow, particularly across northern and northeast Missouri back through Illinois. Warm air starts to surge north on Saturday and Sunday, keeping the precipitation more predominantly rain. The most likely area to experience impacts at this early juncture will likely be along and north of Highway 36, but once this system gets onshore, we'll have a better idea of the path and timing.Â
