Tracking bitter wind chills tomorrow morning
TONIGHT: Mostly clear and breezy with lows near 20 degrees. Wind chills dipping into the low teens to around 10 degrees.
TOMORROW: Mostly sunny, cold, and breezy with highs in the upper 30s.
EXTENDED: A very cold air mass has settled across the region with temperatures more than 15 to 20 degrees below normal between Sunday night and Monday night. Highs on Monday struggle to top 40 degrees, and we'll be quite cold again Monday night as northwest winds keep temperatures in the lower 20s. We'll begin to see the upper pattern shift by mid-week, with warmer air settling back in as highs get back into the lower 60s Wednesday. We'll end the week on a much warmer note in the lower 70s, but we're eyeing the potential of at least a few showers between Saturday and Sunday with a front that will drop us from about 70 on Saturday to low 60s on Sunday.
