Tracking a bitterly cold start to the week

TODAY: Mostly cloudy and cold, with temperatures stuck in the 30s all day. Winds from the northwest will gust up to 30 mph, contributing to subfreezing wind chills.

TOMORROW: Even colder early Monday, starting in the low 20s with a feels-like in the low teens. Sunshine returns in full swing, but highs will still be stuck in the 30s. Winds remain gusty out of the northwest up to 25 mph.

EXTENDED: After a bitterly cold start to the day, a rebound is expected on Tuesday as highs jump back to the 50s. This warmup is aided by southwesterly winds, but high winds on Tuesday may also contribute to fire weather conditions. Temperatures continue warming the rest of the forecast, putting highs in the 60s late week, and possibly 70 by next weekend.
