Tracking more clouds tomorrow, major cool down by tomorrow night

TONIGHT: Increasing clouds with lows in the upper 30s to around 40.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy and breezy with temperatures falling through the day. A few spotty showers are possible early, with flurries possible after dark. The warmest temperatures will be in the 60s through midday, falling to the 50s by late afternoon.

EXTENDED: A strong clipper low pressure system will dive into the upper Midwest tomorrow, bringing clouds and precipitation to the region, along with a massive cool down that will last from Sunday into Monday. With dry air in place close to the surface, much of Mid-Missouri likely won't see much from this system outside of a few sprinkles along and north of I-70, with some flurries possible after sunset as temperatures drop. We'll see morning lows on Sunday drop into the upper 20s to low 30s. Sunday afternoon is brisk with highs only reaching the upper 30s to around 40. Monday morning will be the coldest since early spring with lows falling into the upper teens to low 20s, with wind chills in the mid-upper teens. We'll start the week off sunny and cold with highs near 40 on Monday. We'll begin gradually warming the rest of the week, getting back into the 60s by Wednesday with a largely dry pattern in place through the remainder of the week.
