Tracking a cool down and a few showers tonight into tomorrow

TONIGHT: Chance of a few storms with increasing clouds. Lows in the lower 60s.

TOMORROW: Mostly cloudy with a spot shower or storm. Highs near or just under 70 degrees.

EXTENDED: A slow moving cold front is approaching from the northwest, triggering a few showers and storms across northwest Missouri this evening. We'll see a few showers and storms between tonight and midday tomorrow, but the coverage is pretty sparse. Overall rainfall amounts will like be under 0.25" for most of the area. We'll cool down significantly on Tuesday, with cloud cover lingering for much of the morning into the afternoon. Highs reach the upper 60s to around 70. As clouds clear out, we'll drop into the upper 40s by Wednesday morning. Wednesday and Thursday will be the nicest days of the week with highs in the low 70s and sunshine. We'll begin to warm by Friday as winds shift back to the south, but a weak front to our north may bring more clouds on Friday. Clouds clear on Saturday, and highs get back into the 80s for the weekend. Above average temperatures look to stick around for most of the week, but signs are still pointing toward a more fall-like cool down by next weekend or shortly after.
