Tracking hot days and cool nights this week

TONIGHT: Increasing clouds and cool with lows in the lower 60s.

TOMORROW: Partly cloudy and warm with highs in the mid-80s.

EXTENDED: High, thin clouds begin to spread across the region tonight as a disturbance moves in from the west. That could keep temperatures a touch warmer overnight in the low 60s, and keep highs between 83-85 on Wednesday. Cloud cover begins to retreat on Thursday, allowing temperatures to push back into the upper 80s for Thursday and Friday. Upper high pressure looks to hold through the weekend, keeping skies clear and temperatures well above average. A slow moving cold front could bring a bit of a cool down and perhaps a few showers early next week, but the cool down would be to the tune of near average temperatures in the 70s.
